Well, there are flashlights that contain red lasers - so I thought it was just someone playing around. Then, I distinctly heard a gunshot. I distinctly heard the bullet whine through the air, as it receded. I did not get the impression that the shot had been fired in my direction. My impression was that the shot had been aimed out into the field, possibly towards the high school running track and stadium. My estimate, from the report, was that the bullet was .22 or possibly a 25 caliber round. Based on the loudness and the acoustics, I think that the shot was fired from the upper window or balcony of the back apartment on the second floor of Building 5. It was also Building 5 that I saw the red laser light originate from. Naturally, I called the police. They looked but saw nothing. This morning around 4 AM I noticed someone walking through the parking
lot towards Building 5 ... and, a few moments later, I saw a red light,
and realized that someone was shining a laser around.

Well, there are flashlights that contain red lasers - so I thought it
was just someone playing around.

Then, I distinctly heard a gunshot.

I distinctly heard the bullet whine through the air, as it receded.

I did not get the impression that the shot had been fired in my direction.

My impression was that the shot had been aimed out into the field,
possibly towards the high school running track and stadium.

My estimate, from the report, was that the bullet was .22 or possibly a
25 caliber round.

Based on the loudness and the acoustics, I think that the shot was fired
from the upper window or balcony of the back apartment on the second
floor of Building 5.

It was also Building 5 that I saw the red laser light originate from.

Naturally, I called the police.

They looked but saw nothing.

Regards,

~richard
