A quick list of observed defects, as of this morning:

1) Front door: no weather seal - daylight around the door frame, when 
door is closed

2) Living room: Thermostat only works as ON-OFF switch, does not 
regulate temperature
3) Living room: Heater cover is not attached to wall, falls off when bumped
4) Living room: Heater access door is not attached, falls off, exposes 
open flame
5) Living room: Window lacks screen (replacement in progress)
6) Living room: Window lacks double-paned window (no insulation)
7) Living room: Exterior latex makes inside wall hard to clean
8) Living room: Exterior latex interferes with ability of wall to 'breathe'
9) Living room: No insulation between interior and exterior walls
10) Living room: Mold infestation in exterior-facing walls, concealed by 
paint

11) Bedroom #1: Window lacks screen (replacement in progress)
12) Bedroom #1: Window lacks double-paned window (no insulation)
13) Bedroom #1: Exterior latex makes inside wall hard to clean
14) Bedroom #1: Exterior latex interferes with ability of wall to 'breathe'
15) Bedroom #1: No insulation between interior and exterior walls
16) Bedroom #1: Mold infestation in exterior-facing walls, concealed by

28) Kitchen: Rear sliding glass door is installed inside-out, impossible 
to secure
29) Kitchen: Rear sliding glass door contained concealed "rape" door 
(corrected)
30) Kitchen: Rear sliding glass door does not have screen (replacement 
in progress)
31) Kitchen: Rear sliding glass door lacks double-paned window (no 
insulation)
32) Kitchen: Exterior latex makes inside wall hard to clean
33) Kitchen: Exterior latex interferes with ability of wall to 'breathe'
34) Kitchen: No insulation between interior and exterior walls

The fence around the back is falling down, and could stand replacement, too.
