My assumption would be that they could re-mount, based on your request, the
one in your apartment, not necessarily all of them. What she mentioned to
you is the same conversation I had with her. They have a legitimate concern
and many apartment complexes in other communities do the same but I see no
reason why they wouldn't fill your request If you feel safer with it
re-mounted. Let me know if you would like me to drop Jessica a note.

Thanks for the reply to my questions.

I actually suggested, to Jessica, that they mount the fire extinguisher
where it would be visible - and she refused.

(She said if it were in sight it might be messed with by the children. 
and she didn't want it too high because then the children couldn't reach it.
I couldn't make this up if I tried.)

I don't think they wanted to waste any time mounting stuff - that would turn
a simple task into five or ten minutes, per apartment.

(It's not cost-effective to mount fire extinguishers where they can be seen,
I guess. Takes too much time.)
