References: <1416242141.12892.YahooMailNeo@web181005.mail.ne1.yahoo.com> In-Reply-To: <1416242141.12892.YahooMailNeo@web181005.mail.ne1.yahoo.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Frank, I'm wondering if Alan's family's appreciation would extend to perhaps giving me a reference to a lawyer. Perhaps they could ask Alan's lawyer? The apartment complex is still besieged by bedbugs. I have a memo to that effect from the apartment management - they have finally given up and are - get this - systematically checking EVERY apartment for signs of bedbug infestation - something that was suggested to them about nine months ago, by the way. This memo puts it in writing, basically, that they were NOT checking every apartment, previously. (I don't know if they meant to do that. PPM shoots from the hip, I've noticed.) It's not just bedbugs. The inside walls of two of my kids' bedrooms are coated with black, grey, and green mold. It's all along the baseboards. It's in the kitchen, too. PPM knows - their maintenance guy wiped down the walls with a 10% bleach solution, not two weeks ago. The mold is back. PPM's response is to try to get me to sign their new rental agreement that includes a mold disclosure release form. I think we have a full ecosystem here. Wet, decaying wood. Fungi growing in the decaying wood. Paper lice, eating the decaying wood. Other insects eating the paper lice. Cockroaches. Mice, eating the cockroaches. Lice, and fleas, and ticks, and bedbugs, living off the mice. Three different flavors of mold. Etc. It would be nice to be able to speak to a lawyer whom was interested in helping. There must be another half a dozen units in this complex that are as bad, or worse. I might not be able to afford an hour of his or her time, but maybe, in ten minutes, the lawyer could give me some advice on where to go, whom to ask for, to find affordable representation, and counsel. This is just going to get worse. The public interest cries out for some help, here. Regards, ~richard On 11/17/14 08:35, Frank Wilson wrote: > Richard, > > Just to give you an update on Alan. I visit him usually once a week and that can be tricky at times as they move his cell from time to time and that changes his visiting hours. Right now he in protective custody section waiting for a bed to open up at Napa state hospital for him to be treated to be competent for trial. He improves each week as he is taking medication for his Bipolar condition. His brother is working with the DA, his lawyer to reduce his charges. Your emails have been an asset towards a positive outcome in that matter. Alan and his family are very appreciative of your efforts. On another matter Alan has asked me to get his jacket from you and put it in storage with the rest of his items. If that is possible could you give me a call at 707.502.4000 and I will arrange with you to pick it up? > > Thank you, > > Frank Wilson
