Richard,

Just to give you an update on Alan.  I visit him usually once a week and that can be tricky at times as they move his cell from time to time and that changes his visiting hours.  Right now he in protective custody section waiting for a bed to open up at Napa state hospital for him to be treated to be competent for trial.  He improves each week as he is taking medication for his Bipolar condition.  His brother is working with the DA, his lawyer to reduce his charges.  Your emails have been an asset towards a positive outcome in that matter.  Alan and his family are very appreciative of your efforts.  On another matter Alan has asked me to get his jacket from you and put it in storage with the rest of his items.  If that is possible could you give me a call at 707.502.4000 and I will arrange with you to pick it up?
