I've been trying to get the police report for two weeks. The process has been complicated by the fact that the person responsible for these things does not work full time. The last time I spoke to her she said something about it going to the DA and said the report wouldn't be ready for a few more days. Then, when I next stopped by, last week, she wasn't there. I stopped by Monday and was told she'd be in Tuesday. I stopped by, today (Tuesday), and spoke to the lady in charge of records, again. She told me that it HAD gone to the DA's office, and, for this reason, it was not available for public inspection - presumably, if people were able to read it, they would be able to warn witnesses what not to say, etc. And so it would seem that the police report is not available to support any restraining order you might wish to request. However, I have separately been pursuing my own civil harassment restraining order, using other available evidence. I will provide you with a copy of that information once the process has been completed, and, if you wish, you can use the material contained within that order to support the facts requesting your own, separate order against him. I would advise that you do that so that 137 12th Street is protected even if I move elsewhere. More on that topic, soon. Regards, ~richard
