I know you're saying, 'Why don't you move', but I don't have any money. We are penniless. (If you haven't noticed, ~25% of the working population of the United States is unemployed, just now. Percentage is probably higher, here in Humboldt County.) I've been researching this topic and I think what we have here is Sick Building Syndrome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sick_building_syndrome https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=sick+building+syndrome I think we have a full ecosystem here: - decaying wood (cabinets, under sinks, etc) - microflora (fungi, mold, mildew) - microfauna (paper lice, cockroaches, mice) - parasites (fleas, ticks, bed bugs) I don't have a solution just yet - but we start by describing the problem. I'm also trying to draft a lawsuit for failure to address habitability issues, but that is a slower and more complicated process, and less certain, too. I'm going to start documenting the mold on the baseboards with my camera, and then cleaning it with bleach, and documenting the before-and-after. We'll see how long it is before the mold returns.
