Looking at the picture, my attention was caught by the machined block of metal, painted white - held together with four hex screws - which mounts the handlebar to the top of the steering column, on the stolen bicycle. I had been looking at such a bicycle - specifically, the machined block of metal, painted white - from a range of about five feet, just a few days before - the bicycle had been cabled, for a day or so, in front of 137 12th Street, Apartment 4-B. That parking place for bicycles is typically used by Bobbie - currently the manager of 137 12th Street - and one of the younger members of the gang, a young man named Zeke. Zeke has a friend or two - some shaven-headed kids - and they may be sharing the bicycle around. I can't really be sure where the bicycle is being kept. Probably NOT in Apartment 4-B. Maybe Apartment 5-D, or 7-C (given that Bobbie still rides Motocross bicycles, too, and does not appear to have a driver's license). Comments on the Lost Coast Outpost suggest that someone encountered Zeke or one of his buddies at Rite Aid some time in the not too distant past and the police were called, but the bicycle did not have a serial number, and so Zeke - or whomever it was - rode off, smirking, and still in possession of the suspected stolen bicycle. Next time the bicycle is seen parked I will get the serial number. I saw the bicycle leave the premises of 137 12th Street maybe 45 minutes ago, by the way. It was being ridden by one of Zeke's friends, and Zeke was riding his skateboard, alongside. They were headed for Main Street. Regards, ~richard 707-725-7995
