Supervisor Michelle Bushnell committed to Stand up for Humboldt County's 2nd District for a 2nd term!
In her first term as Humboldt County Supervisor, District 2, Michelle has proven she shows up and gets results! She has been on the forefront of every natural disaster we have endured; during earthquakes, wildfires and road closures, Michelle kept open lines of communication with the people, in hopes of keeping everyone safe, informed, and keeping our County open for business.
When Michelle isn't in a meeting, you can often find her in support at one of the local farmers markets, Business Ribbon cuttings, school fundraisers, Veterans events or at one of the many events throughout Humboldt County.
Michelle appreciates all the faith the people have put in her and the job she is doing representing 2nd District, and is always open to conversations on how she can better serve our community and encourages people to reach out.
"I look forward to serving my community, thank you to all my constituents for your continued support!"

Comment: Is Michelle Bushnell a blonde ... or a brunette? Just curious.
But, while we are on the topic of shape-shifters ... which political party is Michelle Bushnell affiliated with? How long has she been affiliated with this particular political party?
Why do we have to ask in order to find out Michelle Bushnell's political affiliation? It should not be concealed.
We did some research on Michelle Bushnell's properties at the Humboldt County assessor's office, in 2022, and if we recall correctly she and her husband, together and separately, owned between 16 and 24 properties - along with another family that we think she or her husband are related to, that own another bunch of properties.
We didn't have the opportunity to drive out and take a look at the properties - we were defendng ourself from an illegal Ellis Act eviction - but, lacking evidence to the contrary, we infer they are rental properties - probably, decaying old houses, out in the country.
We infer that Michelle's husband is in the construction business, sees a lot of these properties for sale, and instead of leaving them on the market, he, his wife, and their cronies buy the properties for themselves.
They would say that it is a free market. That is true. However, the free market exists only because of a larger free market of ideas, and the Internet is the free market of ideas. We welcome them to the other free market - where free speech reigns.
We have read Michelle Bushnell's propaganda and we see her admitting to owning a "few" rentals. We suspect this is a premeditated and deceitful choice of words intended to conceal a much larger stake in the rental market and we think this is done to deceive voters into casting their ballot for Michelle Bushnell by seeing her as a homeowner rather than seeing her as someone who dispossesses others of the opportunity to own their own home by buying properties, removing them from the "free" market, and turning them into rentals.
We encourage Michelle Bushnell to make her ownership of rental properties a major plank in her platform by listing all of the rental properties she has purchased, their prices, and the sum of all income received from each property over the past decade, instead of blurring and concealing her ownership and participation in the rental economy.
We encourage all of the candidates to do so.
We encourage voters to ask candidates about their ownership of multiple properties and we encourage activists to learn how to use the computer in the county assessor's office to look up this information and verify that voters are not being deceived. It's all public information, except for the rents being collected.
Nobody is saying that Michelle Bushnell and her husband, and their friends, can't grow, and sell, all the weed they want. Don't get caught.
No: what we are saying is that using your funds - black market, or not - to buy up more property than you need is negatively influencing the quality of life for everyone else.
It is greedy; and greed is a sin.
We need virtuous supervisors - not greedy, slothful supervisors.
We think perhaps it is time the current crop of landlord-friendly supervisors were replaced, by Humboldt County renters. We think there are more renters than there are owners - and the renters are unrepresented in the government.
Food for thought.
